Some small impressions of an ongoing project. Inspired by designs from admiral_plackbar, brickships.ch and chucky_in_charge I started with my own version of a drydock. Scaled for 1:300 it is designed to take the biggest ships of WWII. There are some features I will introduce you to when the real build has started
For the other projects there are good and sad news. First of all HMS King George V has been scrapped. As I expect Cobi to release a vessel of this class in the future I decided to go back to lesser known but still iconic or important ships. Although the KGVs are one of the arguably best designed battleships of this era and one of my personal favorites, the project has run far longer than initially expected. Time constraints in the last year and a lack of motivation to further pursue the build have delayed much of the progress. To prevent it from being a big graveyard for valuable parts I have stopped the build for good.
USS Saugatuck, which is 80% finished (update will follow) was a trial for non-battleship sized vessels. After the destroyer, which was rather disappointing, this route seems to be intriguing.
