S.O.S. – büchersegler in Seenot

Stürmische See für den büchersegler. Die Buchhandlung am MariaHILFErplatz.

Die immer weiter steigenden monatlichen Fixkosten und Lieferantenrechnungen lassen sich aus dem Verkauf der Bücher nicht mehr finanzieren. Und das trotz der besten und treuesten Kundschaft, die es gibt. Und die wir haben.

Wir wollen aber nicht einfach so von Bord gehen. Wir sind entschlossen die Buchhandlung und unseren jungen Verlag, das PapierBoot, zu erhalten. Und das in unserem Heimathafen: Graz. Lend. Mariahilferplatz 5.

Neben Büchern soll es künftig eine größere Auswahl an Papeterie- und Kreativ-Waren an Bord geben. Die erste Ladung segelt bereits an.

Buch-Bestellungen sind nach wie vor möglich. Dauern aufgrund von Sammelbestellungen durch den Masseverwalter derzeit nur länger als gewohnt.

Mit einer Crowdfunding-Kampagne soll die Navigation in beständige Fahrwasser gelingen. Informationen dazu folgen in Kürze.

This book explores art publishing today, particularly small-scale publishing practices in Asia. With this focus, it attempts to contextualise the increasingly important publishing practices in contemporary art within Asia’s historical and regional contexts. It features a diverse range of interviews and essays contributed by various publishers, artists, curators, collectives, distribution spaces, and designers.
