I flew to Barcelona to meet my favourite artist Guillermo Lorca in person.

That day did something to me. I came home and was sooo inspired to paint. This little study is what came out of it - motif by Guillermo Lorca. Oil on canvas panel.

Back in the flow, and it feels so good.

What makes you happy? 🌊

Lately, it's this feeling: the moment I feel truly alive. Jumping into cold water, a mountain lake or the sea at sunrise. One breath, and everything is awake. ✨

What's yours? 💙

Hello from the studio ✨

Same pearl, two techniques. Old Masters' cool depth or Alla Prima's warm glow — which one would you take home? 🦪

08/06/2026

Oh, alla prima painting technique – long time no see. I've missed you!

Painting this wasn't the plan for today. I actually wanted to finish a commission piece, but it's still too wet for the final layer. As usual, oil paint had other ideas.

I've been wanting to do a color study for a while, and I've also wanted to paint the same subject using two different techniques. So I ignored my other to-dos for a bit and did something purely for fun.

What do you think of this alla prima oil color study? Isn't it wonderfully shiny?

Tell me in the comments - which one is your favourite? My Moments Series is one my personal most favourite. You can hang it on all 4 sides - just as you prefer. I captured every season of the year 🌿🤍✨️ Which season do you like most?
