We’re proud to support the TU Wien alumni club’s centenary project Back TU the Roots. 💐💯

As host of the online auction, we are excited to contribute to this initiative by presenting artworks from both established and emerging artists alongside the collaborative works created throughout the project. Through creative workshops, artists, students, alumni, researchers, and friends transformed materials from TU Wien archives, laboratories, and workshops into meaningful new artworks with a purpose.

The auction is continuously expanding, all artworks will be exhibited at the Kuppelsaal of TU Wien before the auction concludes in early December 2026.

➡️ All proceeds from the ongoing online auction directly support students in financial need.

Get your hands on the latest bulletin anniversary edition, featuring insights into the creative workshops and the growing art project.

It’s always a pleasure to see the works in their new surroundings.

Most of the works are by emerging artists, which makes this all the more meaningful. Supporting young positions at an early stage plays a crucial role in shaping sustainable artistic careers. A wide range of works by emerging artists is continuously available on our website; worth taking a closer look. 👀

A sincere thank you to all collectors for sharing these images with us and allowing us to post them.

Sequins, surface, and shifting images

PLEASE TOUCH
The works presented here by Sebastian Quast are made of reversible sequins. Their image shifts through touch: as the surface is brushed, another motif appears. The image is not fixed but constantly changing, dependent on movement and interaction.

This unstable picture plane is central to Quast’s practice, which frequently works with textiles and pre-existing materials, activating questions of surface, perception, and image production.

Sebastian Quast (*1997, Munich) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich under Peter Kogler, where he graduated in 2025 and became a master student. He is recipient of the Offspace Prize of the City of Munich and was nominated for the Simacek Art Award 2023.

Currently on view in our showroom.
All works are also available for purchase online.

A curated presence in everyday life

DAS ARTMANN
Developed by Cuubuus Architects, Das Artmann reimagines a historic Viennese building as a contemporary residential environment, where architecture, design, and art come together.

In this context, ARTCARE introduces a curated art rental concept, integrating selected contemporary works directly into the spaces. Our approach is simple: flexible, accessible, and tailored to the rhythms of urban life. The selection brings together established positions alongside emerging voices, many of whom are based in Vienna or have studied at local academies, while maintaining an international perspective. It forms an open constellation that is defined by the coexistence of different perspectives, materials, and visual languages.

Art is positioned as an integral component of the spatial concept, contributing to the character and perception of the environment while remaining adaptable over time. Through a rotating selection of works, spaces can continuously evolve, allowing residents to engage with different artistic positions and experiences.

A heartfelt thank you to the team of .at in particular to Ing. Eduard Mair MAS for their commitment and their dedicated approach to seamlessly integrating art and living within this project.

𝐊𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐦 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐱𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐠
