She is María José Campos, the queen of Argentine chess.

One thing that stands out in her playing style: she always plays to win, regardless of the opponent. With an energetic style, she exerts pressure all over the board, and when the game becomes chaotic, Majo thrives in the complications, often finding the most difficult move, the one that most unsettles the opponent.

Goals? She has many, but the one she sets for herself is lofty: to obtain the title of Grandmaster, a rank no Latin American female player has achieved so far. For this player born in La Plata, Buenos Aires, it's an ambitious and important goal but not unattainable, though it will require excellent (and consistent) performances.

She defines chess in a very simple way: "Chess is my life, it has opened many doors for me, introduced me to wonderful people, and given me friends. Devoting myself to chess fills my heart, I can't imagine my life without this sport."

📃 Previously, we told you that within Dchess Masters you would find hidden short stories and many characters to discover. Today, we present her to you: Astrid "Lili" Grantis.

👉 Lili's life began many thousands, or even millions of years before her birth. As a child, Astrid stood out for many factors: her magnetic charm, and her evident intelligence manifested by her strong curiosity and sharp tongue.

Around the age of six, one of her eyes began to change tone very gradually, while she started to have very vivid dreams and nightmares. But she also began to notice that these dreams were something more. They were omens of future events. At first, there was a first coincidence, a second, and by the third, she took the dreams very seriously; indeed, Astrid was seeing the future.

👉 Over time, this gift, along with her great and increasingly numerous social skills, earned her significant political weight and the fascination and love of the people. She was not only the daughter of the ruler, she was a witch, beautiful, charismatic, and kind. And above all that, she also became the most brutal chess player that an entire civilization that worships this sport has ever seen, thanks to her other quality that she would acquire.

Did you know that in singleplayer mode, you'll be able to play matches against a bot? YES, you read that right. In the most basic singleplayer mode, there are no daily resets or anything.

Bots ranging from Elo 100 to 2000 will be unlocked from the start. However, to unlock bots with Elo 2100, you have to beat all the 1200 Elo bots first. Then they will come in a sequence: you must defeat the previous ones to move on to the next bot.

✅ The last bot is Isembart with an Elo of 3000. Are you up for the challenge?

And even better: to unlock Lili, who has an Elo of 3300, you have to beat Isembart. But... to unlock Obris, you have to beat Lili.

Do you know what Obris's Elo is? 3600 😱
