We are delighted to welcome Tsering Frykman-Glen as our first Curator-in-Residence, as part of the Colab Exchange Directors program between Tangent Projects (Barcelona) and PAR Residence (Buenos Aires).
Tsering is a British curator, arts writer and artist mentor based in Barcelona. She has over 20 years of experience developing exhibitions, site-responsive projects, and artist-led initiatives across independent and alternative art spaces.

Tsering was New Media Director at Phatspace gallery in Sydney (2004 – 2006) and has since founded and co-founded several experimental curatorial platforms, including The Spare Room (London, 2008) and the online project Remote (2011–13). Since 2015, she has been the director of Tangent Projects, guiding its growth from an itinerant curatorial initiative into an established independent art space.

«Confluence/Reading Room» es la fusión de dos proyectos independientes concebidos por la comisaria Tsering Frykman-Glen: Confluence (2023–), un proyecto sensible al entorno que explora espacios transitorios e intermedios, y The Reading Room (2021–), un proyecto nómada en curso que reúne a creativos y público mediante el intercambio colectivo y participativo de textos.

Diego Barriokowicz (, Chile) will develop his project at , under the mentorship of .ar, and will present his individual open studio at on november 27 at 7 pm.

He was born in Santiago, Chile, in 1980, the son of a sculptor and a poet. He studied Design and earned a degree in Graphic Design from Universidad Diego Portales in 2003. After several years working as an art director in advertising—developing projects in graphic design, industrial design, illustration, and mural painting—he decided to take an extension course in painting at the Pontificia Universidad Católica in 2014. Since then, he has continued working on the professionalization of his craft.
Over the past ten years, he has devoted himself to artistic development and training through art critique mentorships, which have allowed him to exhibit his work at art fairs, galleries, and museums in Santiago and other regions, as well as to participate in international artist residencies—including one in Madrid, Spain, in 2023, and more recently in New York, United States, as part of a showcase of Latin American artists.
