A decade ago, Angola Waves was just a dream. Back then, the world saw Angola through a lens of myths and challenges. Getting visas was a mountain to climb, and "surfing in Angola" sounded like an impossible mission to many.
But we saw the potential. We saw the endless lefts and the magic of our coastline.
Over these 10 years, we’ve watched surf culture take root in our local communities, transforming lives and horizons. Today, we are proud to welcome surfers from every corner of the globe who come to experience the raw beauty of our waves.
This journey wasn't made alone. It was built by the hands, hearts, and support of many. We are incredibly proud of the footprint we’ve left—changing the narrative and putting Angola firmly on the world surf map.
Here’s to the next decade. Thank you for being part of our story.

Where pure joy meets talent.

Seeing the local youth riding perfect waves with just a piece of wood and an unbeatable smile reminds us of the true essence of surfing. It is all about that simple, unmatched feeling of gliding on water and the happiness it brings to your soul.

But do not let this simple gear fool you. The raw talent, wave reading, and effortless style of the younger generation here in Angola are truly humbling to witness. What begins with pure stoke on a wooden board on these beaches has grown into something much bigger. Today, we are incredibly proud to see some of these local surfers taking their natural talent across the globe, representing Angola in international championships.

This is the real Angolan surf culture: authentic, uncrowded, and driven by immense passion.
