PACKET LOSS

artist:
sound : Sahebzamani

First presented in 2025, at the gallery as part of an immersive audio-visual installation experience.

In this work, memory is neither a return nor a narrative; it appears as a perceptual rupture that suspends the subject in an endless cycle of breakdown and reproduction. What we call presence becomes an ongoing deferral, where every attempt at recovery merely reinforces the absence it seeks to overcome.
Memory emerges as incomplete data, scattered clusters that gesture not toward an origin but toward the persistence of loss. In this condition, the subject can neither return to a point of beginning nor imagine an end, for the structure of the 'self' collapses before it can be rendered or represented.
The work follows an event that was never fully registered yet permanently distorts the shape of perception- a loop without closure, in which memory neither reappears nor disappears, but returns only as the recursion of what cannot be restored.

Experience Under the Same Roof — the ongoing exhibition — alongside a special installation by invited Iranian artist Erfan Ashourioun, presented as a unique intervention in our exhibition space.

Erfan Ashourioun (b. 1995, Isfahan, Iran) is a new media artist working across audio design, performance, digital tools, painting, and installation. His practice explores the transformation and degradation of form inspired by natural and organic structures.

His work reflects the contemporary human condition in relation to technology, systems of control, and modern governance — focusing on the intersection of humanity, technology, and the infrastructures shaping everyday life.
