The Book of Genocides, published by Harvard University Press, is a first-of-its-kind graphic narrative exploring ten major atrocities spanning five centuries.

An award-winning writer and artist, and a descendant of genocide survivors, Dana Mashoian Walrath brings these histories of mass violence into a deeply human and immersive format, inviting readers to confront them not as distant events, but as experiences that continue to shape our world.

Through its fully illustrated and interactive design, The Book of Genocides examines the mechanisms of dehumanization and the systems that enable genocide, spanning histories from the mass slaughter of the First Peoples of the Americas and the Armenian Genocide to the Holocaust, Rwanda, and Gaza.
