Building on our 19 years of professional dancing experience, our aim is to paint festivals with cheer, kindle weddings with joy and incite the audience with energy by performing diverse cultural dances. Why is the Dance Group called Kamy? Wind, Kamy in Armenian, is nature's way of dancing. Its movement revives the surrounding; creating a harmonious choreography. Inspired by the wind's
fierce abilities, Kamy Dance Group has become a joint effort of 6 friends, who met 18 years ago. The passion they all share for dance allowed the friendship to naturally grow stronger over the years; and by combining their dancing skills they gave rise to Kamy Dance Group. Watching you enjoy the performance is what motivates us. Dancing our way to your soul is what we aim for. Giving you sensational memories is why Kamy Dance Group came to life. What types of dances do we perform? We thrill our audience by offering in our unique way different types of cultural dances;
- Armenian: Folk dance always has a story to tell. Through unique costumes, selectively chosen music and moves we proudly express our identity and rich heritage.
- Georgian: With a fast pace, rhythm, and festive mood we perform with utmost tricks on our knees, feet, and toes. The Georgian dance expresses courage, skill, and tremendous energy.
- Gypsy: Vigorous and rhythmic show with clapping and stamping of feet, the gypsy dance is all about being independent!
- Swing: A dance full of surprises filled with colorful and positive energy! We take you to the 1920s where Jazz met dance and created an evolution!
- Greek: A spectacular combination between the basic traditional Greek steps and the universally known typical drunken dance.
- Tango: The passionate, vibrant and playful dance! All about maintaining harmony and connection through the embrace.
