“Until you can clear up your true identity you will be tied to a repetition of this life.”
Agnes Martin
As so often happens, Two Arcs was born out of a problem. In our case - creative boundaries, which result in fear, stagnation and repetition. Unfortunately, this is and has always been a reality for many artists, and art industry in general, all over the world. Realizing this and seeing it happe
n to the young, promising local artists as well, the idea to create a so called “free art space” came forth. A space where, among other things, creative dialogue, non-institutionalized learning and experience sharing would allow us to better understand the psychology of art, push the said boundaries and expand our minds. These can further lead to enhancing one’s self-knowledge, shaping a unique identity and individuality, unlocking inner potential, thus inevitably resulting in the creation of exceptional artworks. However, simply creating unique and valuable artworks isn’t enough in the modern world and our mission doesn’t end here. We aim at creating a cycle, which would start with the conceptual changes and advancement, and result in the creation, promotion and realization of commercially successful artworks. For this matter, Two Arcs has a dedicated commercial gallery space, which will feature the works of various local modern artists.
