t Simon Coates and is dedicated to working with underrepresented, emerging and established artists and curators, and to exhibiting arts practice that is evolving and experimental. The space plays host to all genres of contemporary art including painting, print work, digital art, experimental film and video, sound art, sculpture, design work and more. The gallery has held exhibitions featuring Jeremy Deller, LuckyPDF, Alvin Lucier, Scanner, Mohammed Kazem, Hassan Sharif, Ebtisam Abdulaziz, William Kentridge, Sara Al Haddad, Tarek Al Ghusein, MF Hussain and Ephrem Solomon, amongst others. The Gallery of Light is operated on not-for-profit principles putting all income received from sponsorship or rental hire back into its cultural arts programming, educational outreach and the welcome of all visitors.
