The performance happens on stage. The engineering that makes it possible starts long before the doors open.

From Coldplay and Maroon 5 to KISS, AES has delivered the structural event infrastructure behind major international live productions across the region.

Every production brings a different technical brief. Stage dimensions, roof loads, rigging capacity, audience layouts, hospitality platforms and supporting structures must all work as one coordinated system, engineered around the requirements of the artist, production and venue.

That is where experience matters.

AES delivers staging, roofing, grandstands, hospitality platforms and temporary structures engineered for the demands of large-scale live production. From initial planning and structural engineering through to installation and dismantling, every element is delivered with safety, precision and performance at its core.

More Space Without a Larger Footprint

When ground space is limited, AES Double Deck Structures allow event infrastructure to extend vertically, creating additional usable capacity within the available venue footprint.

Built around a modular 5m x 5m steel grid, the system can be configured for VIP platforms and boxes, viewing galleries, hospitality areas and operational spaces, with layouts adapted to suit venue and event requirements.

Separate access, service routes and back-of-house areas can also be incorporated, allowing multiple functions to operate within one temporary structure.

For venues where capacity, circulation and operational space must work within a restricted footprint, Double Deck Structures provide another way to maximise how the available site is used.

Built for 68 Tonnes of Production Rigging

KISS Goodbye 2020 at Atlantis, The Palm called for temporary infrastructure on a major scale.

Working with Altrad, AES delivered a Generation Uni-Roof measuring 42.5 metres wide by 26 metres deep as part of a main stage extending 74 metres across including the wings. Rising to 32 metres at its highest point, the structure was engineered to support 68 tonnes of production rigging required for the show.

Across the wider site, the AES scope included a dedicated B-stage, pyro towers, Front of House (FOH), camera platforms, projection and follow-spot towers, delay screen structures, fencing and supporting production structures.

The build was completed in just 11 days by 63 operators, while working within the constraints of an active beachfront resort, including restricted access, limited working space and ongoing hotel operations.

For a production of this scale, every element had to work together, from the main stage and rigging capacity to the supporting structures across the site.

Creating Spectator Capacity for VFL 1

For VFL 1: Vault Fighting League at The Agenda in Dubai, AES delivered the temporary grandstand that formed the main spectator seating area around the competition floor.

Installed within the existing indoor venue, the grandstand introduced tiered audience seating while making efficient use of the available event footprint.

For venues and organisers, temporary grandstands offer the flexibility to introduce substantial spectator seating without relying on permanent venue infrastructure. The configuration can be planned according to the space, audience capacity and format of each event.

From indoor sporting events to large-scale live productions, AES provides temporary grandstand systems for venues that need adaptable spectator seating.

At major events, premium hospitality is not simply about creating a better guest environment. The infrastructure behind it must also support access, service circulation, operational movement and the demands of the venue itself.

AES VIP hospitality platforms are engineered around a modular steel system, configured on a 5m × 5m grid and adaptable across multiple levels. This allows AES to create VIP lounges, hospitality suites, viewing galleries and private guest areas around the available venue footprint and the specific requirements of each event.

The same structure can incorporate dedicated access routes and back-of-house areas, separating operational and service movement from guest-facing spaces while maintaining an efficient flow throughout the hospitality environment.

For venues where footprint is limited but hospitality capacity needs to increase, the system allows additional usable space to be engineered vertically; without compromising the quality, functionality or experience of the hospitality environment.

From structural planning to guest and operational flow, AES delivers temporary event infrastructure engineered around the way the venue needs to perform.

Engineering the Infrastructure Behind the Performance

When BLACKPINK’s BORN PINK World Tour arrived in Abu Dhabi in 2023, the production extended well beyond the main stage. Behind the performance, AES delivered the temporary event infrastructure that expanded both the audience experience and the operational capability of the venue.

At Etihad Park, AES engineered and delivered a 51-metre stage extension together with a 26-metre thrust walkway leading to a secondary stage, extending the performance footprint and bringing the artists closer to the audience.

Beyond the performance areas, AES also delivered a customised Front of House (FOH) structure, scaffold wall extension, follow-spot towers and a dedicated camera platform, providing the technical infrastructure required to support a complex international touring production across multiple operational zones.

World-class live productions rely on infrastructure engineered with precision, safety and reliability. From stage extensions and technical platforms to production infrastructure, AES delivers temporary event solutions designed to support the demands of internationally recognised live productions.

Building the Structures Behind Saadiyat Nights

For Saadiyat Nights on Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi, All Events Services delivered temporary venue infrastructure supporting the production, audience areas and wider event environment.

At the centre of the build was a 39m × 15m main stage, complemented by scaffolding wings supporting the production setup.

Beyond the stage, the scope extended across VIP bleacher structures, upper terraces, access walkways and staircases, external structural walls, and dedicated VIP and Royal Suite platforms.

Together, these elements formed a coordinated temporary infrastructure package supporting the operational requirements of a large-scale live entertainment programme.

From stage to stands, built for the experience.

Where Every Show Comes Together

Behind every successful live production is a Front of House tower engineered to keep every technical element working in perfect sync.

AES designs and delivers multi-level FOH towers and delay tower systems that provide dedicated spaces for sound, lighting, broadcast and production control across events of every scale. Positioned throughout the venue, these structures become the operational hub that keeps live productions running with precision from start to finish.

Every tower is engineered for strength, stability and optimal sightlines, ensuring production teams maintain clear visibility and reliable control across the entire venue. Because exceptional events depend on infrastructure that performs when every second matters.

Transform Open Spaces Into Exceptional Event Venues.

The right structure can turn an open site into a fully functioning venue. The AES Skyliner provides a flexible canopy solution for weddings, banquets, concerts, sporting events and large-scale outdoor gatherings, combining rapid installation with engineered strength and weather protection.

Designed to adapt to the requirements of each event, the Skyliner is available in diameters ranging from 10 to 38 metres. It can be configured as an open-sided or fully enclosed structure with transparent walling, while multiple canopies can be connected to create a seamless covered space for larger venues.

Versatility is built into every design, delivering temporary infrastructure that performs across a wide range of events and environments.

Engineering the Stage Beyond the Finish Line

When racing concludes at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the venue transforms into one of the region’s biggest live music destinations. That transition depends on infrastructure engineered to perform under the demands of world-class production.

For the F1 Yasalam After-Race Concerts at Etihad Park, AES delivered the structural build supporting the performances, including stage extensions, scaffold towers and key production infrastructure across the concert village.

The project included a thrust and catwalk stage spanning more than 150 square metres, an extended downstage edge and scaffold towers engineered to meet the precise requirements of consecutive live performances. Every structure was designed and installed to deliver the strength, stability and reliability demanded by an event of this scale.
