Darwin Guevarra (Japat)

Every remarkable collection begins with an artist whose vision dares to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary.

Darwin Guevarra, professionally known as Japat, is a self-taught Filipino contemporary artist whose works are distinguished by imagination, craftsmanship, and compelling visual storytelling. Drawing inspiration from history, heritage, and mechanical forms, he creates artworks where fantasy and reality converge into timeless narratives.

His artistic journey has earned international recognition, including participation in the Florence Biennale in Italy, alongside honors from the Sony World Photography Awards, Emerging Artist International, and the New Signature Award presented by Sheikha Manal in Dubai.

Through TeryMari Gallery, Japat’s works have been presented at distinguished venues across Dubai, including Timeless Convergence at Warehouse Four, Museo sa Konsulado at the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai, and the World Business Travel Forum at Sofitel Downtown Dubai.
