The interest garnered by Bengali movies on both national and international platforms makes it evident that good quality cinema finds its niche audience, irrespective of the language. ed hands and set forth to introduce a selection of such films to audiences in UAE, who have been deprived of these masterpieces, through Abhijaan 2014. Dubai’s continued patronage towards exploring and encouraging new cultural avenues made it the perfect choice for launching the first ever Bengali Film Festival, Abhijaan 2014 in the Middle East. Buoyed by the success of our debut event, which celebrated 100 years of Indian Cinema, we are back with Abhijaan 2015. Intimate in its scale but ambitious in its scope Abhijaan 2015, will aim to showcase a selection of exemplary Bengali films with universal themes, using them to break the barrier of languages and reach out to people of all cultures.
