Virginie came to MNK Studios with an ambitious goal: to be the first female to set a world record for the loudest whistle. At face value, this seemed like a random thing to do, but for Virginie it was more than just a cool trick, but a gesture that carried a lot of personal meaning as a way to pay homage to her father.
In our first meeting she gave us a taster of her skills and, yup, she was loud! But was she Guiness-World record loud? We love a challenge and a quirky project over here, so we partnered up with our friends at to help Virginie on her quest.
Guiness shared an extensive list of technical requirements, from the distance of the mics, to the length of the attempt. We followed every detail to a tee to ensure her submission would be valid. At last, after multiple tries and a nerve-wrecking wait after submission, the verdict was in: she had done it. At 116.7 db (louder than rock concert!) she had set the first word record for the loudest female whistle.
