Concrete, in a collaboration with Hayward Gallery at Southbank Centre, London, presented 'Adapt to Survive: Notes from the Future' from 7-21 November, 2018.
The group exhibition, curated by Dr Cliff Lauson, brought together artworks by seven international artists who imagined how our world might look and feel in the future.
Andreas Angelidakis, Julian Charrière, Youmna Chlala, Rainer Ganahl, Marguerite Humeau, Ann Lislegaard, and Bedwyr Williams each engaged with the idea that adaptation is necessary for survival, through films, sculpture and text-based works that explored ideas of change and hybrid forms of architecture, biology, technology, and language.
Revisit some highlights, including a writing workshop with Youmna Chlala and a performance by Bedwyr Williams, as part of the 'Adapt to Survive: Notes from the Future' public programme.
