Earlier this week hundreds of people gathered to see a statue of comedy legend Bobby Ball unveiled in Lytham.

Bobby is very close to our hearts here at Big Fish Entertainments & Comedy - this news was absolute joy for us to hear, bursting with pride for him.

In the Summer of 2020 we had the privilege of hosting an interview with Cannon & Ball during lockdown. Shortly after, and so sadly, Bobby passed away. We will treasure the interview forever.

Bobby's family wanted the statue based on his 40th birthday style, with a ‘twinkle in his eye’, Bobby was so well known for his red braces, which he would pull while delivering his "rock on Tommy" catchphrase.

Bobby was born in Oldham, but made his home in Lytham after falling in love with the Fylde coast when he and Tommy Cannon performed in Blackpool in the 1980s.
