MEET THE CAST 🎭

Seb plays Bishop Jordan!

Originally from the UK and living in Dubai since 2018, Seb Murphy is delighted to be appearing in this production of Father Ted. In 2025, he performed in Guys & Dolls, adding musical theatre to his growing list of stage credits. He previously played Captain Hastings in Agatha Christie’s Black Coffee, bringing warmth and wit to the classic Christie mystery. Most recently, Seb took on the lead role of Peter Lindel in The Unfriend by Steven Moffat, enjoying the challenge of navigating the character’s sharp humour and escalating chaos.

Jon Thomas playing as Todd Unctious/Jim

“All the world’s a stage” is one of Jon’s favourite acting monologues. Jon moved to Dubai in 2011 and has dipped in and out of acting again since graduating with a BA/hons in Drama. Jon has acted in several plays one of his favourite was playing Blake in “The Walworth Farce” by Enda Walsh with Padraig Downey’s Danù Dubai in 2019.

Katie Murphy playing Mrs Doyle!

Katie, originally from Ireland and living in Dubai since 2019, is delighted to step into the shoes of the legendary Mrs. Doyle in Father Ted. Having grown up watching and quoting the show, this role feels like a full-circle moment. A passionate musical theatre enthusiast and proud member of MTDXB here in Dubai, she’s no stranger to the stage and is excited to bring Mrs. Doyle’s charm and chaos to the desert!

Niamh Moore

Music teacher by day, Niamh began to tread the theatre boards as a teenager in the midlands of Ireland. She has been a member of MTDXB since its inception, performing in their productions of Grease, Addams Family and Guys & Dolls. Favourite roles to date include: Jane Smart (Witches of Eastwick, Tullamore Musical Society), Rumpleteaser (CATS, Clara Musical Society), Portia (Portia Coughlan, Rail Theatre Company), Sandy (Grease, MTDXB). She is delighted to join DDG as part of their hilarious production of Fr Ted.

Adam Laird playing Father Jack!

Born at an early age in Dover, UK, Adam has been working in music education for over 2 decades and is currently a busy Head of Music in Dubai. Theatre credits include performing, (Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Godspell, Jesus Christ Superstar, Wizard of Oz, Beauty and the Beast, Fiddler on the Roof, The Mikado, Iolanthe, The Gondoliers, I Paglacci, Cavallera Rusticana, The Addams Family) and selected shows as a baton waving musical director include (A Little Night Music, Fame, The Wiz, GREASE, Bugsy Malone, West Side Story, Fiddler on the Roof, Gypsy, Into the Woods, Footloose, Our House, Little Shop of Horrors, Oliver!, White Christmas)

MEET THE CAST 🎭

Introducing Stuart Gibson as Cocheese / Billy!

Originally from Northern Ireland, Stuart brings a wealth of experience to the stage as an award-winning actor, director, and educator. After training in London over 15 years ago, he performed in the West End and across London’s dynamic Fringe theatre scene, before touring extensively throughout Ireland in major musical productions and Theatre in Education shows.

His screen credits include RTÉ and TG4 documentary period dramas, where he portrayed the legendary James Joyce for audiences in Ireland and the United States. More recently, Stuart appeared in The George Best Musical at the Grand Opera House, Belfast, alongside cast members from Peaky Blinders, including P***y Lee — and even counts acting alongside Richard Attenborough in Puckoon as a career highlight.

Off stage, Stuart is also an accomplished director, most recently helming the musical pantomime Cinderella for MTDXB at TODA, and currently serves as Head of Primary Performing Arts at a leading school in Dubai, inspiring the next generation of performers.

🎭 Meet David Moore — Our Delightfully Dithering Fr. Dougal!

David has been part of the theatre world since the age of just six (yes, six!), growing up surrounded by the magic of performance thanks to his incredibly talented parents, Paul and Sarah. With a lifelong love for the stage and a natural flair for comedy, David is bringing a whole new level of charm, chaos, and cluelessness to the role of Fr. Dougal!

This marks David’s very first production with Dubai Drama Group, and he’s already stealing hearts in rehearsals with his perfectly daft antics and lovable energy. If you’re a fan of laugh-out-loud moments and iconic characters, you will not want to miss his take on everyone’s favourite dithering dope.

MEET THE CAST 🎭

Meet Simon Coles — playing Father Ted!

A British/Australian (and half Irish!) actor who works in aviation in Abu Dhabi ✈️, Simon rediscovered his love of the stage in 2022 and has been performing regularly in Dubai ever since.

In 2025, he appeared in Mirror On The Wall and The Government Inspector, and this marks his second production with Dubai Drama Group, having previously played Captain Darling in the epic Blackadder Goes Forth.

Now, Simon is very much looking forward to bringing Father Ted to life at Theatre by QE2 — and we have a feeling it’s going to be divine 🙌
