Nothing can be more rewarding for a child, than being able to jam to a song in an impromptu environment. No books. No notes. Just pure Play with instinct, intuition and one’s Musical acumen. Exactly what happened last night with 3 very talented musicians who jumped into an impromptu jam.
This video might seem very normal for a seasoned musician but is in fact very challenging for a child who has been learning in a music school cubicle with just notes & Backing tracks. More than just playing, this exercise helps a child find wavelengths with other musicians. Also helps develop a sense of healthy camaraderie, with other musicians instead of seeing them as competition.
Overall we see it as a great team building exercise which helps develop mutual respect amongst peers in the long run.
