A One-Night Ceremony Honouring 743 Years of Spiritual Union
Where Silence Becomes Song, and Movement Becomes Prayer. Step into the mystical tradition of Shab-e Arus, the Wedding Night marking the 743rd anniversary of Rumi’s union with the Beloved.
Mr. Dervish leads the ceremony, channelling centuries of Sufi resonance. The ney breathes longing. The daf echoes memory. Every breath, every spin, is a prayer. On this sacred evening, we gather not for a performance, but for remembrance through sound, stillness, and the ancient ritual of whirling.
This is not a concert. It is a sema, a ceremony of return.

“The Candle” a play written and directed by
Ahmed Abdulla Rashed at our space, July 5th and 6th at 7:30pm.

The play that won the International Award for Outstanding Effort. It tells the story of a writer mourning a past in which he abandoned his dearest creations, which became lost in the layers of life. He had also lost his beloved, who suddenly reappears one night as he tries to write. Frozen in place, unable to move forward or backward, he attempts to escape the consequences of his decision to leave behind his creations—only for lost secrets to be revealed along the way.

In this workshop,

Ola Maciejewska shares how the main themes associated with Loie Fuller’s signature creation - the serpentine dances, such as: metamorphosis, the continuum, hybridity, repetition, resistance, object- subject distinction, and spectatorship gave shape to the choreographic tools developed in the creation of Bombyx Mori, a stage work created for three dancers.

The session is designed as a laboratory to experiment through improvisation and
exploration, and put special attention on the sculptural, slowing down, materiality
and touch.
