“I think of the self as a landscape, something that is never fixed, but continuously shaped, altered, and re-formed through time. My work explores this idea of the self as a constantly evolving terrain, where experiences, uncertainties, and changes leave their traces. I create landscapes that exist somewhere between the familiar and the imagined, using elements of nature and space to reflect states of transition and becoming. I work intuitively, allowing the painting to develop rather than beginning with a completely predetermined outcome. My work is less about producing and more about existing throughvthe act of making. I respond to what emerges on the surface, building, removing, layering, and transforming forms as the work progresses. This process allows the paintings to hold something personal without directly describing it. The landscapes become a quiet way of engaging with what is happening within us while remaining connected to the changing environments around us. For me, the significance of the work lies in recognising that neither the self nor the landscape remains the same. Both are shaped by forces we can control and those we cannot. In a time when our surroundings are changing rapidly, I find it meaningful to consider how these external changes can echo our own internal states. Through my work, I leave space for uncertainty and
transformation, allowing each work to exist as a moment within an ongoing process of becoming.” - Sheharbano Hussain

We’re so thankful to everybody who joined us at the opening of Ripples of Existence.

Ripples of Existence considers life as something that extends beyond the moment of its own occurrence. Every encounter, gesture, relationship, memory, and experience leaves something behind, a trace that continues to move outward, often beyond our awareness.

We move through one another, leaving impressions and receiving them in return. A brief encounter can alter a life; a memory can resurface years later; a small act can continue to shape someone long after it has passed. Like ripples moving across water, these moments expand beyond their original point, connecting the individual to something larger than themselves.

The exhibition reflects on the privilege of experiencing a life at all: to witness, to feel, to remember, to love, to lose, and to leave traces behind. The show brings together stunning works by Faizan Afzal, Warda Fatima, Aiman Faheem, Sheharbano Hussain and Aimen Maqsood.

The show opened on Saturday, August 29, 2026, and remains up until September 07, 2026.
