"Spectres in the deep"
Recycled paper and acrylic on canvas
160 x100 cm
The ocean’s depths are a realm of shadows, where light surrenders to endless dark. Beneath the waves, the water presses in - cold, heavy, silent. Unseen things drift in the gloom, shapes half-glimpsed, movements just beyond sight. The surface feels impossibly far, and the deeper you go, the more the water swallows sound, warmth, certainty.
This is no sunset’s golden embrace, no gentle lull of waves at dusk. Here, the sea does not welcome - it watches. And in the crushing dark, the mind conjures spectres: things that linger just beyond the edge of vision, waiting in the deep.
