Before the Union (2026)
Mixed-media installation featuring water-soluble paint on tent canvas, gold-plated brass, marble, wood, metal, and glass.

Presented as part of Under One Sky, the work reflects on maritime heritage, memory, and the transformation of identity across the UAE and the former Trucial States. Through historical flags, a preserved traditional dhow trophy from 1998, and archival display structures, the installation explores how the same Gulf waters once carried different flags, yet today continue under one unified nation.
