The palm tree in this work is inspired by the decorations and inscriptions engraved by skilled craftsmen on the walls of the majlis in the traditional houses in the Kingdom and its various regions. The palm tree was depicted in many forms and great variety.
These multiple shapes of palm trees have been combined with the octagonal geometric shape common in Islamic arts as a new experiment in merging traditional folk art and Islamic art.
