Skyward was unveiled a few days ago in Abu Dhabi, and I am still overwhelmed in the most beautiful way. I tried to capture this journey in these 20 slides.
Commissioned by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Abu Dhabi for Manar 2025 , this project marks one of the most meaningful moments in my practice so far.
This is a first glimpse into the path that brought it to life: the 10.5-ton stone sourced from Ras al-Jaima, shaped by time, the hands that refined it, the choreography of light we created, the alignment with the beautiful desert sky, and the many encounters that guided this process.
Skyward is a quiet invitation to look upward, to feel the connection between earth and cosmos, between matter and light, between what we know and what we imagine.
