SOUTHERN AFRICA HAS A HELL LOT OF SOUTH ASIAN TALENT
Slept on but not forgotten is arguably the best way to describe this upbeat dancehall club banger in which the Muslim-Zambian songbird Naimah Fadlallah โ one of the hidden gems of Southern African hip-hop โ uses music to depict her feelings about a romantic relationship. ๐ฅ
What we have got for you right here is her debut single from December 2017 entitled "Long Time". ๐ฅ๐ฅ
With top-class visuals are top class and the song itself on another level, it is not far-fetched to describe it as your ultimate, trademark futuristic African dancehall banger which would certainly get the Asian chicks bouncing and make the club go up and down like a seasaw.
NOW WHO IS NAIMAH?
Naimah is a top Zambian singer, songwriter, recording and performing artist, mental health advocate, and philanthropist currently based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
She first appeared on the Zambian music scene in 2006 with her first collaboration with Australian based rappers Floss & JTimba when she was just 16 years old. After relocating to South Africa to pursue studies in psychology Naimah chased her passion in music, attending vocal coaching and releasing her first single as a solo artist titled โLong Timeโ with acclaimed producer, Kimosabe.
Born in Lusaka and raised in Kitwe in Zambia's Copperbelt Procince, and going off to grow into a successful young woman and music artist in South Africa, the vernacular-bilingual, superstar Muslim singer of Asian descent embodies the values and multicultural appeal to young and older people both for Zambians in Zambia and Zambians in the southern and international diaspora.
SHOWS & PERFORMANCES
While Naimahโs single Long Time topped radio charts in SA and Zambia, Naimah earned features in print and online media publications. It was her follow up dance hall club banger titled โMash itโ that put Naimah on the club scene as a top performer, performing in some of the biggest clubs in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Naimah was also recently featured on the KZN Music โImbizoโ lineup as a showcasing act in Durban, South Africa.
