Having conceptualized this piece with students at he writes “ in this art piece, we show the Dhow which was used traditionally for pearl diving, carrying a shuttle type spacecraft to the moon. It represents the incredible journey of progress through the learning of our past. The background represents the breaking water of the sailing ship moving to the sunset sky into space. The moon has been represented in the Pearl oyster shell to represent the journey.”

and have been hard at it on working on a 7 wall mural that features birds living, breeding and migrating through the UAE over the last month.
The 8 storey buildings are part of the Yas Village complex and visible from Yas Drive and Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Highway.

Super excited to share this project we worked on almost a year ago for .

We paired 5 of our favorite UAE artists with youth groups at schools and universities in Abu Dhabi to brainstorm and design these murals that you can now visit at the newly opened .

We love community engagement and the collaborative energy that went into each of these pieces.
