We’re honoured to be part of Indigenous Cinema: South Asian Perspectives, a three-day gathering of filmmakers, scholars, and artists exploring Indigenous cinemas across South Asia — centring land, identity, memory, and resistance.

🎬 Casting Call – Baby for Film (Paid)

Film Title: Clouds Have Bridges Too
Production Company: Wishing Tree Creatives
Director: Wanphrang Diengdoh (award-winning filmmaker)
Featuring: Adil Hussain
Location: Private home in Hertford
Shoot Date: Late October/ November (TBC)
Duration: Approx. 1–2 hours

Role & Requirements

Baby of mixed heritage or person of colour

Ideally: light brown skin, dark hair, dark eyes

Age: 12–18 months

The baby will portray the child of an Indian father and a White British mother

Scene involves only shots of the baby sleeping in a cot/bassinet

No outdoor scenes, no demanding or stressful filming — just peaceful, indoor filming in a gentle, quiet home environment

What We Provide & Expect

Paid role for 1–2 hours

Parents/carers must be present at all times — and are warmly welcomed on set

Calm, safe set with full health & safety protocols — baby’s well-being is the top priority

We ensure breaks, a comfortable temperature, and minimal crew

If you have a baby basket or bassinet, let us know — it may be used for the scene

🎬 That’s a wrap on the first leg of filming for our latest feature film.

We’ve officially completed the first phase of the shoot, and we’re so grateful to everyone who’s helped bring it to life—with talent, care, and a bit of magic.

We are proud to present a special screening of ‘Lorni The Flâneur’, a film by our co-founder and director Wanphrang K Diengdoh , on 5th May at Fabrica gallery , followed by a Q&A session with Wanphrang and ADIL HUSSAIN , who plays protagonist ‘Shem’.

Through ‘Lorni The Flâneur’, a living memory of a city, a restless, layered labyrinth that refuses to surrender its secrets, Wanphrang reflects on his personal journey through Shillong, a city forever in flux.
