or committed members to hone their techniques and create high-quality original choreography. By participating in and organizing academic dance conferences, competitions, and collaborative projects with faculty and student artists, other university organizations, and guest artists, Attitude Dance Club will bring together the NYUAD community and the performing arts community in the region and beyond to discuss, explore, and educate each other about the historical and cultural significance of dance; Attitude Dance Club will provide its members the opportunity to work with artists from different backgrounds on creative and professional projects which may help them build skills beneficial for a lifetime. Attitude Dance Club hopes to bring joy to the NYUAD community through dance. Weekly Classes
We offer weekly classes of Ballet, Hip Hop and Salsa on campus lead by professional instructors from Abu Dhabi. Additionally we offer weekly Breakdancing and Ballroom classes lead by students on campus. Conference
Some students from Attitude Dance Club have organized the annual Body Voices Conference (see more here: http://www.bodyvoices.org/), where we invite dance scholars from across the globe to engage in dance in a scholarly manner through lectures and workshops. End of semester Dance Recital
We hold a dance recital with diverse pieces. In the past, the types of dances have ranged from classical ballet, hip hop, jazz hip hop, contemporary, salsa and breakdance, to Polynesian dance, Jamaican Dancehall and Latvian traditional couple dance.
