A four hour creative release took place today at the Art Fest by .
It's been a while since I've sat down and painted for hours on end, so this was a welcome getaway from work life.
The experiment of using wall paints on canvas was an interesting one. The paints dry up fast which means you work fast. Still, I was able to add texture. Loved the way the colours blended and after drying, the texture remained. If you add water, you can get an almost watercolour/transparent effect - great if you're aiming for drips effect on the painting.
Mine was themed 'geometry' and 'nature' based on the paper chits I picked from the bowl. After using a base of Kansai paints, I found myself doodling a seed that's coming to life (no, it's not a paisley, in case you're wondering). The canvas could have enjoyed another lick of paint for depth but I'd run out of time.
