David Najib Kasir’s work examines the role of Western media in shaping cultural narratives, while casting a compassionate and critical lens on the systemic destruction of families across the Middle East. As an American artist born to a Syrian mother and Iraqi father, Kasir’s practice serves as an intimate reclamation of heritage, memory, and identity against a backdrop of geopolitical erasure.

Future Fair New York | David Najib Kasir

Visit us at Booth F13 during Future Fair New York for Beauty and Ruin, a poignant solo exhibition by David Najib Kasir.

Kasir’s signature aesthetic draws on Zellige, the traditional Arab geometric mosaic tradition, alongside intricate floral motifs that veil his figures and environments. Through this striking visual language, the artist creates a powerful dialogue between beauty and devastation, honoring the richness of Middle Eastern cultural heritage while reflecting on the fragility and collapse shaped by conflict and displacement.
