It is with great sadness that we learned of the untimely passing of Hon. Desire Moyo, MP for Mkulumane in Bulawayo, in a tragic accident today. We are deeply shocked and saddened by this news.

We had the pleasure of hosting Hon. Moyo during the Shangano Arts Festival, where he demonstrated his passion for the arts and his commitment to supporting creative talent in Zimbabwe. His contributions to the cultural landscape of our country will be greatly missed.

As a people's poet, Hon. Moyo's legacy will live on through his work, inspiring future generations of artists and creatives. His dedication to using his platform to uplift and empower others is a testament to his character and vision.

On behalf of Shangano Arts Trust and the artistic community in Matabeleland North and Zimbabwe, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Hon. Moyo's family, friends, and colleagues. May his memory continue to inspire us to promote the arts and culture that he loved so dearly.
