Final Sentencing for Mpofu & Chimombe

The High Court has handed down final sentences in the Presidential Goat Pass-On Scheme fraud case.

Moses Mpofu, the first accused, was jailed for 22 years, with 7 years suspended on conditions including restitution.
➡️ Final effective sentence: 15 years, if he meets the restitution requirements.

Mike Chimombe, the second accused, received 17 years, with 5 years suspended on conditions that include paying back over US$946,000.
➡️ Final effective sentence: 12 years, subject to restitution
