"A Heart in Turmoil"
Tears fall like autumn rain,
As emotions swirl, a maddening pain,
Longing for solace, a gentle reprieve,
A heart once whole, now shattered, hard to retrieve.
Memories of you, a bittersweet refrain,
Echoes of laughter, whispers of sweet pain,
In dreams, I see your face, a fleeting glance,
A yearning that awakens, a sorrowful dance.
Time, a thief in the night, steals moments we shared,
Leaving emptiness, a hollowed-out space, unprepared,
For the ache within, a gnawing, ceaseless sigh,
A heart that's lost its anchor, drifting, wondering why.
In this darkness, I search for a glimmer of light,
A guiding star to lead me through the endless night,
A comforting presence, a reassuring hand,
To calm the storms that rage, to soothe this troubled land.
Oh, for the warmth of your touch, the safe haven of your arms,
A place to hide from the world, to weather life's storms,
To feel the gentle beat of your heart, the soft whisper of your voice,
A love that once was, a love that made my heart rejoice.
But still, I hold on to hope, a glimmering thread,
A promise that someday, somehow, our hearts will be wed,
That love will conquer time, will bridge the distance wide,
And in each other's eyes, our hearts will reside.
Until that day, I'll hold on to memories of our past,
Cherish every moment, every laugh, every love that will forever last,
And though the road ahead seems uncertain, dark, and long,
I'll walk it with the knowledge that our love will keep me strong.
