🇿🇼🇺🇬 A Moment to Remember — Bound by Culture ❤️

Some moments become memories we carry with us forever.

During our presentations in Uganda our PICA children had the honour of taking a special photograph with the Guest of Honour, Hon. Dr. Faith Mercy Lakisa, Minister of State for Children and Youth Affairs, Uganda.

She loved our presentation and encouraged our children to continue raising our countries’ flags high, celebrating our cultures and heritage, and working towards a united Africa.🇿🇼🇺🇬🌍

A beautiful reminder that culture knows no boundaries.We learn, we share, we celebrate and together, we build the Africa we want. ❤️

🇺🇬 Culture Night – Learning Beyond Culture 💛

During our Culture Night in Uganda our children had the opportunity to share stories about home and also learn about an important issue affecting children —childhood cancer.

We were privileged to have a speaker from the Uganda Child Cancer Foundation (UCCF) joining us for an informative health talk. The children learnt about childhood cancers, treatment, healthy living and ways of reducing health risks. They also had the opportunity to ask questions and gain a better understanding of childhood cancer.

A special thank you to Richard from Golden Time for organising this important and educational session for our children. 💛

As we mark September – Childhood Cancer Awareness Month (Gold Month) it is never too late to learn, share knowledge and stand in support of children and families affected by cancer.

Today, after our session, our children visited KidzCan Zimbabwe, where they performed, interacted and spent time with the children and caregivers. ❤️

It is always important for our children to learn that sharing is caring through practical experiences of giving, encouraging and empowering others.

Experience no2: Meet our Ano...

This lovely girl is an awesome soul. She expressed her experience through drawing. She is a blessing to us and one day we shall tell you about this amazing soul, her stage experience and performance.

One thing about her is that she does not let her disability define her. She keeps pushing herself, showing us she can do it.

This was her 1st time flying and she was so excited 😊.

Thank you to Ano's parents for trusting us to be with her and groom her.
