What a truly memorable day it has been at Villa Resort in Dema!

Today, we had the honour of becoming the first host venue for the Free Range Poultry Standards Training Workshop, organised by the Standards Association of Zimbabwe (SAZ) in partnership with the Zimbabwe Indigenous Poultry Association (ZIPA).

We were privileged to welcome a diverse gathering of stakeholders, including feed manufacturers, animal health and chemical companies, smallholder and commercial poultry farmers, local leadership, industry experts, and keynote speakers—all united by a shared vision of strengthening Zimbabwe’s free-range poultry sector.

One message stood out throughout the day: Standards matter. By adopting and adhering to recognised free-range poultry standards, farmers can improve product quality, ensure consistency, build consumer confidence, and create a harmonised industry that is competitive, sustainable, and beneficial to everyone.

Hosting such a significant national event is a proud milestone for Villa Resort in Dema. We are grateful to the Standards Association of Zimbabwe, the Zimbabwe Indigenous Poultry Association, all the facilitators, exhibitors, and every participant who made this workshop a resounding success.

Together, we are building a stronger, more professional, and more sustainable future for Zimbabwe’s indigenous poultry industry.
