CALL HER AMANDA
Glimpse of the past,
The dreary presence of the known.
The feeling so familiar,
The warmth
-The bliss
-The ease.
Even from beyond
My body still reacts from her presence.
I guess ecstasy knows no bounds.
Love,
Laughter.
Moments shared,
Memories forever cherished.
They say we tend to forget the stormy nights
True.
She lived,
She made mistakes and she learned.
All the disagreements,
The yelling accompanied by the fights.
Who said she was perfect?
I still grin upon the thought of her's visit
We are all ok until we are not.
These feelings,
The circulating heat in our veins
-The calm wars inside our minds
-The tears held at the back of our eyes
-The thoughts we tend to bury,
All is needed is a spark
And the system goes ablaze.
The thought of not being enough kicks in,
-The notion of being powerless.
Like we could have done more,
We could have been there.
If we could only have...
Given the chance I would have poured my heart out.
All I know is she lived,
She loved
-And she got loved.
As fate had it,
We weren't meant to outlive life together.
Cut short yet she made the most of it.
All the times she over reached,
-All the times she flew too close to the sun,
-And all the times she seemed too fast,
Little did I know we had different sand glasses.
Unfortunately her's ran out quicker.
I just hope we meet again,
Maybe where broken clocks are thrown
-And we dance in the ashes of yesterday.
Rest well my friend,
Words alone can't express it.
Maybe an open heart is enough for a proper goodbye.
