The Zambian government has officially announced it will respect the decision of the South African Supreme Court of Appeal regarding the burial of former President Edgar Lungu.

Attorney General Mulilo Kabesha confirmed that the state will not challenge the ruling, which set aside a previous order to have the former president's remains repatriated to Zambia for a state funeral. The appellate court’s decision leaves the final burial arrangements in the hands of the Lungu family.

It’s official. Less than two years after a landslide victory, Keir Starmer has announced his resignation outside No. 10. Visibly choking up, Starmer admitted he is no longer the right person to lead the Labour Party forward. While the political pressure from within his own party ultimately made his position untenable, his final words hit a deeply human note, stating he is ready to step away from the "biggest job in the country" to focus on being a husband and father. Britain now faces its seventh Prime Minister in a decade as the race for succession begins.
