This is a powerful moment for Zambia

Big respect to Wodemaya for choosing to experience the ceremony not just as a visitor, but with intention to wear the properly. That’s cultural respect

Ghana's Wodemaya To Attend The 2026 Might Kuomboka Traditional Ceremony

Renowned Ghanaian YouTuber and digital media influencer Wode Maya has officially confirmed his attendance for the upcoming Kuomboka Traditional Ceremony, scheduled for March 28, 2026.

Wode Maya announced his participation to his followers on Facebook, expressing excitement about visiting Zambia for this historic event.

He has actively sought advice from Zambians on where to acquire the Siziba, the traditional male outfit of the Lozi people, which is traditionally worn during the ceremony.

His visit follows a period of growing cultural exchange between Ghana and Zambia; he received formal and informal invitations from various Zambian stakeholders to witness the "Real Africa".

The Kuomboka is the most celebrated traditional ceremony in Zambia, marking the migration of the Litunga (the Lozi King) from his summer palace in Lealui to his winter palace in Limulunga to escape the flooding of the Zambezi River.
