DEVOTION: OBEDIENCE OVER OUTCOME

1 Samuel 15:22 “Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.”

We often measure our lives by results, what worked, what didn’t, and whether things turned out as planned. But God measures something deeper: obedience. Outcomes are not always in your control, but obedience always is.

There will be moments when God asks you to move without clarity, to trust without guarantees. In those moments, faith is not proven by what you receive, but by how you respond.

Many times, we delay obedience because we want to understand the outcome first. We want certainty before commitment. But God calls us to move first and trust Him with the rest.

Obedience is not about having all the answers. It is about trusting God enough to follow, even when the path is unclear. It is choosing His voice over your fears and His direction over your logic.

You may not always see immediate results. You may not always understand what God is doing. But every act of obedience is planting something that will grow in time.

So today, shift your focus. Not “What will happen if I do this?” but “Am I doing what God has asked me to do?”

Because in God’s Kingdom, obedience is never wasted.

Say this Prayer:

"Lord, help me to choose obedience over outcomes. Teach me to trust You even when I don’t understand the results. Give me the courage to follow Your voice without fear, and the faith to believe that You are working in every step I take. Amen."

THE BATTLE IN YOUR MIND

Romans 12:2 “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

Not every battle you face is visible. Some of the hardest ones happen quietly, in your thoughts.

It’s the voice that tells you you’re not enough.
The fear that keeps replaying worst-case scenarios.
The doubt that questions what God has already spoken.

Left unchecked, those thoughts don’t just pass through your mind, they begin to shape how you see yourself, your future, and even God.

That’s why Scripture doesn’t just tell us to pray. It tells us to renew our minds.

Because transformation doesn’t start around you. It starts within you.

The enemy doesn’t always attack your life directly.
Sometimes he attacks your thinking, because if he can control your thoughts, he can influence your direction.

But you are not powerless.

You have the ability to choose what you dwell on.
To reject what is false.
To align your thoughts with truth.

And sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is not just pray… It is to refuse to believe every thought that enters your mind.

Peace doesn’t come from a perfect life. It comes from a guarded mind.

Let us Prayer:

"Lord, help me to take control of my thoughts and align them with Your truth. Where fear tries to take over, give me peace. Where doubt tries to grow, give me faith. Renew my mind daily so that I may walk in clarity, confidence, and trust in You. Amen."

MTN FINTECH ZAMBIA CEO KOMBA MALUKUTILA PUSHES A NEW VISION FOR AFRICAN LEADERSHIP

Africa is not just changing. It is awakening. A new generation is rising, not waiting for opportunity, but stepping forward to shape it.

At the center of this shift is Komba Malukutila, CEO of MTN Fintech Zambia, Founder and Host of C-Suite Africa 2026: The NextGen Leadership Summit, set for May 23–24 at Ciela Resort & Spa.

The summit will convene executives, founders, policymakers, and emerging leaders, not just to talk, but to define what leadership on this continent must become.

Unlike traditional conferences, C-Suite Africa is built on intention.

“Leadership conversations should be intentional, honest, and forward-looking,” Komba said.

This is more than a statement. It is a challenge. For too long, Africa has followed conversations shaped elsewhere. Now, it is time to lead them.

Komba represents a new kind of African leader, not just one who succeeds, but one who creates space for others to rise. From fintech to leadership platforms, his journey reflects a deeper truth:

Africa’s future will not be built alone. It will be built together.

At the heart of the summit is Next Generation Leadership, real access, real conversations, real opportunity. Because talent has never been Africa’s problem. Access has, and that is what this moment is beginning to change.

With the world’s youngest population and limitless potential, Africa does not lack promise; it stands at the edge of possibility.

But possibility demands responsibility.

The message is simple: Your Time. Your Seat. Your Africa.

And as the continent rises, the question is no longer whether Africa will lead, but whether you are ready to lead with it.

DEVOTION: LOVE ONE ANOTHER

John 15:12 “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.”

Loving people sounds simple… until it becomes real. It’s easy to love when people are kind, when they understand you and when they treat you right.

But the kind of love Jesus speaks about goes deeper than that.

He didn’t say, “Love those who deserve it.”
He said, “Love as I have loved you.”

And His love was patient.
His love was sacrificial.
His love showed up even when it wasn’t returned.

In a world where people cancel, cut off, and move on quickly, real love has become rare. We protect ourselves, we withdraw, we choose distance over discomfort.

But love is not always convenient.

Sometimes love means choosing patience when you’re frustrated.
Choosing grace when you’ve been hurt.
Choosing understanding when it would be easier to walk away.

This doesn’t mean accepting everything or ignoring truth.
It means choosing to reflect Christ even in difficult moments.

Because at the end of the day, love is not just something we feel.

It is something we choose.

And often, it is the clearest evidence of who we truly follow.

Say this prayer:

"Lord, teach me to love like You. Help me to show patience, grace, and understanding even when it is difficult. Shape my heart to reflect Your love in how I speak, how I respond, and how I treat others. Let my life be a reflection of Your love in a world that needs it. Amen."

DEVOTION: BECOMING THE PERSON GOD CAN TRUST

Luke 16:10 “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.”

Many people ask God for bigger things: bigger opportunities, bigger influence or bigger blessings.

But rarely do we stop to ask, "Have we become the kind of person God can trust with those things?"

God’s process is often quieter than we expect. Before He expands a person’s platform, He shapes their character. Before influence comes integrity. Before responsibility comes refinement.

The hidden seasons of life, the ones where no one is watching, are often where God does His most important work. It’s where patience is formed, where humility grows and where faith becomes real.

Because when the moment of opportunity finally comes, will God trust your heart?

God is not only preparing what He wants to give you. Sometimes He is preparing the person who will receive it.

Let us pray:

"Lord, shape my heart before You expand my life. Teach me to be faithful in the small things and to grow in character where no one is watching. Help me to become the kind of person You can trust with greater responsibility. Let integrity, humility, and faith guide my life so that when the opportunities come, my heart will be ready. Amen."

When Forgiveness Enters the Room

Recent developments in a court matter involving media personalities Mutale Mwanza and Chichi Daisy Official have introduced a new dimension to the conversation.

Reports indicate that Chichi Daisy is seeking to withdraw the harassment case that had been brought before the Lusaka Magistrate’s Court.

While the legal process will ultimately determine how the matter proceeds, moments like this often raise deeper questions that go beyond the courtroom.

One of those questions is forgiveness.

In a culture where conflict often becomes entertainment and retaliation is celebrated, forgiveness can feel almost countercultural. Yet forgiveness is one of the most powerful and complicated decisions a person can make.

When someone chooses to forgive, two things happen at the same time.

The one who forgives releases themselves from the weight of bitterness. Carrying resentment for months or years can quietly shape a person’s heart, their peace, and their future. Forgiveness allows a person to move forward without being permanently tied to the moment that wounded them.

But forgiveness also creates a moment of reflection for the one who receives it.

Being forgiven does not erase what happened. In many ways, it can make the reality of the situation even clearer. When someone responds with mercy instead of retaliation, it often invites the other person to confront the moment with humility and growth.

This is why forgiveness is never simple.

It frees the heart of the one who releases the offense, but it also places a quiet mirror in front of the one who caused it.

Scripture reminds us:

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” — Ephesians 4:32

Forgiveness is not about pretending nothing happened.
It is about choosing what kind of people we become after it does.

Sometimes the most powerful moment in any conflict is not the accusation or the defense.

Sometimes it is the moment when grace enters the story.

Question for all of us is:

"Do you believe forgiveness strengthens society, or do you think accountability should always go all the way through the courts?"

🌸 Giving Seth Sibanda His Flowers 🌸

Long before Retunes became a movement across countries, events, merchandise, and media, there were a few people who believed in the vision when it was still just passion and possibility.

One of those people was Seth Sibanda (Salvation Ni Weka artist).

At a time when Retunes was still finding its footing, Seth showed confidence in what we were building. He trusted us with promoting his music and partnered with us on developing his merchandise, becoming the first artist to invest in what Retunes was trying to create.

That early support helped spark something bigger than we could have imagined.

From that investment, Retunes went on to host events, promote artists across Africa, launch clothing brands that reached thousands, and even grow into a digital marketing agency helping businesses navigate the online world.

Looking back, moments like that remind us that movements are often shaped by the people who step in early and choose to believe.

Today, we pause to acknowledge Seth Sibanda for the role he played in those early days for Retunes and the Christian Music Industry.

Your contributions are part of the story. And stories like this deserve to be remembered.

Respect. Appreciation. Gratitude.

Because sometimes the seeds of something great are planted by those who simply choose to support when it matters most.

14/03/2026

Danny TSG Humayne announces his intention to stand as Member of Parliament for Nkana, this announcement is not short of immediate reactions.

Some people were excited. Some were surprised.

And some asked the honest questions such as:

"Not even councillor, but straight to MP?"

This decision is nothing short of bold and courageous. But beyond the politics, something deeper is happening.

Nkana aspiring MP framed his announcement around faith, service, and values, speaking about:

- Community first
- Youth empowerment
- Transparency and accountability
- Unity and peace
- And leadership guided by Godly principles

In a political environment where many people have grown skeptical of leadership, that language stands out.

Some people celebrated the bold step:

"This is the time for youths… youth with a different mindset."

Others welcomed the idea of servant leadership:

"It's high time we have servant leaders in these offices."

Even fellow artists like B Flow publicly offered support.

But the conversation also raises a bigger question. What does it mean when a Christian Artist steps into politics?

Artists often influence culture long before they influence policy. Through music, they shape conversations about:

- Faith
- Morality
- Social Issues
- and the Hopes of Young People

But politics is a different arena, it demands, governance, accountability, decision-making under pressure, and representing the interests of thousands of people (and some of these interests may conflict with Christian values).

So the question is:

"Can the values they preached through music survive the realities of political power?"

History has shown that leadership grounded in faith can inspire great change. But it also shows that titles alone do not create servant leaders.

As Danny himself put it:

"More work, less talk."

Perhaps what many young people are responding to is not just the announcement.

It’s the possibility of a new leadership culture, one where faith, humility, and service are not just lyrics in a song, but principles in public office.

The real test, however, will not be in the announcement. It will be in the actions that follow.

DEVOTION: THE SLOW DRIFT AWAY FROM GOD

James 4:8 "Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you."

Most people don’t wake up one day and suddenly decide to walk away from God. It usually happens slowly.

First, the prayer life becomes weaker.
Then reading the Word becomes occasional.
Then church becomes something you attend only when it is convenient.

Before long, God has not left us, we have simply drifted away from Him.

Life becomes busy.
Success becomes exciting.
Problems become overwhelming.

And slowly, the place where God once sat at the center of our lives is replaced by other things.

But the beautiful thing about God is this:

Distance from God is never permanent unless we choose it to be.

The moment we decide to draw near again, through prayer, humility, and repentance, God meets us immediately.

You may feel far from God today.

But God has never moved.

He is waiting for you to take the step back.

Say this prayer with us:

"Lord, help me recognize the moments when my heart begins to drift away from You. Draw me back to Your presence and renew my desire to seek You daily. Let nothing in this world replace You in my heart. Amen."
