I will be giving stories every morning…please verengai there are those who are suffering under these shadows but they don’t know…my wish is to make everyone be able to open up….

What’s Hidden in the Shadows

People often ask me,
“What are the shadows?”
They think I am talking about darkness.
About the night.
About places where the sun cannot reach.
They are wrong.
The shadows I write about are not around us.
They are within us.
The shadows are where people hide the words they cannot say.
The tears they wipe away before anyone sees them.
The smiles they wear so that no one asks too many questions.
The battles they fight after everyone has gone to sleep.
I have seen a student laugh with friends during the day…
then cry alone at midnight because he no longer knew how to pay his tuition.
I have seen a father promise his children that everything would be alright…
while wondering how he would put food on the table the next morning.
I have seen a mother smile at everyone in church…
then kneel beside her bed asking God how much longer she could carry the weight she never spoke about.
These are the shadows.
Not because they are evil.
But because they remain unseen.
Some people hide grief.
Others hide debt.
Some hide rejection.
Some hide addiction.
Some hide depression.
Others hide regret.
There are those who hide loneliness in crowded rooms…
and those who hide broken hearts behind loud laughter.
If you looked at them for only a moment…
you would never know.
That is why I call this series Spoken Under Shadows.
Because these are the conversations people whisper only to themselves.
The confessions written in notebooks.
The prayers spoken through tears.
The questions that never leave their lips.
The apologies they never get to say.
The dreams they quietly bury.
This is not a book about hopelessness.
It is a book about honesty.
Because healing begins where pretending ends.
A wound hidden from everyone cannot be treated.
A burden carried in silence only becomes heavier.
If you read these stories…
do not rush to judge the characters.
Some of them made terrible mistakes.
Some were misunderstood.
Some simply became tired.
Some lost their way.
Some lost themselves.
But every one of them was human.
And behind every human being…
there is a story that rarely gets told.
So when you hear the title,
Spoken Under Shadows…
Do not think of darkness.
Think of the words your friend never said.
Think of the tears your father never allowed himself to cry.
Think of the dreams your mother sacrificed without telling anyone.
Think of the child who smiled at school while going to bed hungry.
Think of the young man who looked strong…
because he believed weakness would disappoint everyone who loved him.
The shadows are not places.
They are moments.
They are memories.
They are wounds.
They are fears.
They are regrets.
They are hopes that refuse to die.
If these pages make you cry…
let them.
If they remind you of someone…
call them.
If they sound like your own story…
know this:
You are not the only one who has ever lived in the shadows.
And perhaps…
by speaking what has always been hidden…
we can finally begin to step into the light.
