HON.MWAMBA CALLS FOR UNITY, LOVE AND PEOPLE-CENTRED LEADERSHIP
Former Community Development Minister Hon. Doreen Mwamba has called for unity, love and togetherness among Zambians and members of the United Party for National Development (UPND), stressing the need for leaders to work together and put the interests of the people above personal interests.
Hon. Mwamba says leadership should not be driven by selfishness or personal differences, but by a genuine desire to serve, unite and improve the lives of the people.
Speaking on issues surrounding political leadership in Kasama and development in Northern Province, Hon. Mwamba emphasised the importance of leaders working together as brothers and sisters for the benefit of the people and the UPND Government.
She noted that President Hakainde Hichilema believes in working together and putting people at the centre of governance, adding that love for the people should remain a guiding principle for every leader.
Hon. Mwamba's message goes beyond political differences, with a strong emphasis on peace, unity, cooperation and mutual respect. She has demonstrated a leadership approach that places the welfare of ordinary citizens at the heart of her concerns, portraying what many regard as a motherly and caring heart for the people.
She has further stressed the importance of understanding the challenges faced by ordinary citizens and ensuring that their concerns remain part of the development agenda.
Her call for unity comes at a time when there is a need for leaders and party members to put aside unnecessary differences and concentrate on development, service delivery and improving the welfare of citizens in Kasama, Northern Province and Zambia as a whole.
Hon. Mwamba maintains that Zambia needs leaders who genuinely love and care for the people, leaders who are willing to work together and leaders who place national and community interests above personal ambitions.
Her message is therefore a call for Zambians.
