Whatever your reason for visiting with me, I hope that you enjoy your time and your experience here. I am a Citizen of the World, currently residing in Oregon. The vastness of cultural diversity fascinates me and I'm always seeking to understand other people more. Most of my career has been spent in International Business, but lately I've opted to slow down a bit and enjoy redirecting my focus to

project management, poetry and enjoying my family. Yes, I'm married and have two children, a dog and two cats. Poetry, and short stories, are another way for me to connect to more people on a deeper level.

My knee is a tad swollen today, from my fall yesterday. It’s hot to the touch and throbs, but looks ok. I forced it to take me on a walk this morning.

So, I wrote this last night...through my tears. Feeling much better today. I hadn't cried like this since early last September.

Again, feeling much better. I really do wish that I could cry more often, you know? It's so good for you, because it's one of the only ways that cortisol is able to leave your body in a healthy way.

I read that in TEARS AND TANTRUMS by Aletha Stolter back in 2012 when we had our first child. It was probably the most helpful parenting book I'd ever read (still to this day).

Anyway, I know that this isn't my normal sort of poetry, but life isn't always about sunshine and flowers now, is it?

Last night was the most alone I've felt the entire time we've been here, the most down I've felt since last September when I realized the battle we were facing, the thwarted plans...

I leaned on my poet family, my IP mod friends, for support and comfort and even though they all have their own battles they are facing (I mean serious effing battles, ones that give you scars for life),l they made time for me.

Sometimes, it's just too much, you know? I'll probably get flack for this poem...but I know in my heart it is hopeful and honest and true to this life.
