An unexpected pairing ▪️⬛️

Two side tables, different heights, made of the same solid mango wood, brought together to function as a coffee table.

In a small living area, flow matters. Instead of one heavy piece, this pairing allows the space to move, adapt, and feel intentional without crowding it.

A simple solution for a confined footprint.
Sourced from and currently still in store.

Material study
An early look at how a piece begins.

Fabrics + hardware chosen for how they wear, soften, work together and sit within a space.

In many small living spaces, a television quickly becomes a visual interruption, a dark surface reflecting the room when not in use.

For Project Huis Piron 09, we resolved this by choosing a canvas TV. When switched off, it becomes art rather than absence, allowing the room to feel complete at all times. A simple decision that quietly elevates the space, even before it’s in use.

Slide accross to see the room as it was before 🧱🔨

At GESOUT we love stepping into a space and guiding it toward its full potential, but that process often begins with moments of inspiration. We hope this short film offers a spark of creativity, perhaps even in a fleeting moment.

“In the rush of the day, when everything blurs by,
There’s colour tucked in corners, texture in fleeting light.
We pass moments, often too fast to see
Yet even a glance can spark an idea.
A shadow, a hint of something, a feeling that passes quickly.
So while you’re moving, take it anyway
Even a hurried inspiration is worth holding onto.”

Project Huis Piron 09
Stellenbosch Central

Designed as a quiet escape within the bustle of town, this short-term rental was inspired by forest and field greens bringing calm, softness, and balance into a very compact footprint.

Because the space is small, every decision was carefully considered. Proportion, movement, material, and placement.
