I took this old, neglected sewing table and completely reimagined it for our main bedroom. I wanted something that felt fresh but timeless, so I went with a classic blue and white decoupage theme to match our decor.

Now, instead of hiding in a workshop, it’s the star of our morning routine. There is nothing quite like having that first cup of coffee right in the comfort of your own room. 🛌💙

Ending 2025 with a piece that is so much more than just furniture - it’s a piece of history. ✨

Melanie brought this incredible antique dressing table to me with a special request. It was inherited from her Mother-in-law, who originally received it when she got married decades ago. It had been painted grey somewhere along the way, but Melanie wanted to restore its soul and have it match the pedestals I refurbished for her previously.

The brief? French Chic with a rustic twist. 🇫🇷🤍

I absolutely loved stripping this back and giving it that signature distressed look that Melanie loves. It now fits perfectly with her other pieces and honors its past while looking ready for the future.
I couldn’t have asked for a better project to wrap up the year. Thank you, Melanie, for trusting me with this heirloom!

It’s all in the details... ✨

As I start winding down for the end of the year and look back at the past 12 months, I realised there are so many projects I’ve finished but haven't had the chance to share with you all yet!
I wanted to start with this sweet farmhouse-style side table. While I love the contrast of the distressed white legs against the stained wood top, my favorite part is actually the one most people won't see immediately. 🤫

I love adding a "special something" to my projects—a little signature that makes the piece truly unique. For this one, I added a vintage market stencil underneath the tabletop. It’s like a little secret between the furniture and its new home.

I want to send a huge thank you to all my clients and friends for your loyal support this year. It means the world to me. I am already so excited to help you create masterpieces from your pre-loved items in 2026!

Meet Edison. 🐒💡

Edison is a lamp. He hangs from a rope and lights up the room. But let me tell you... Edison has a bit of a dark side.

He was originally brought to me just to have his face painted. Simple enough, right? But Edison had other plans.
First, when I gave him a gentle wash, his original body paint wiped right off. 🛁

Then, while I was waiting for the primer to dry, he decided to take a dive off the table.
Edison didn’t just break; he shattered into 5 pieces. 🧩😱

There was panic. There was glue. There was a lot of sculpting. But like a phoenix (or a very naughty primate) rising from the ashes, he came back together. I gave him a completely new look with realistic fur and expressive eyes.

He turned out pretty handsome in the end, don’t you think? But just to be safe, he was handed back to his owner in a strictly sealed box. 📦🚫

🌸 Before & After with Ai Toggie 🌸

Melanie has the most wonderful eye for finding pieces that will work beautifully in her home. She’s brought me many treasures before, and I always love working on them! 💙

What makes it extra special is that many of the items she brings are things she’s already been using – but instead of letting them go, she chooses to repurpose and upcycle. That’s something close to my heart too – giving old favourites a second life instead of throwing them away. 🌱♻️

This time:
✨ The frames came straight out of her own home.
✨ The chair, originally enamel painted, was stripped back and redone in soft chalk paint to match the gentler, calmer theme of the other pieces I’ve created for her.

The end result? A softer, more harmonious look that ties in beautifully with Melanie’s home.

✨ And because no Ai Toggie piece is complete without a signature touch, I added raised stencil detail to the front, enhancing its refined French-inspired aesthetic.

The result? A sophisticated blend of old-world charm and modern elegance, perfectly suited for its beautiful home.
