For the love of creation and nature.

As each new day dawns, I am usually walking along Pringle Bay beach. If opportunity allows, I will also have a dip/swim in the refreshing seawater.
I am forever fascinated by the changing colours of the ocean, the moods of the sky and clouds, the intensity or calmness of the waves, the early morning activity of the bird life, and the ever-changing patterns in the sand.
I capture moments on my smartphone.

“ABUNDANT FRUIT WITHIN”

Fatima Hickley, our always faithful greengrocer.
A kind soul who I have known for 29 years. I don't think she has missed one week, being in her allocated spot in Kleinmond, supplying locals with fresh produce, home-made lemon atchar, home-made cookies, and more.
Her “mind” calculator still adds up amounts with no effort, and she supports homeless people by giving them a job in her stall.
Her friendly demeanour never changes!
She is always willing to serve.

The unique Cape Floral Kingdom, in the Western Cape of South Africa, thrives through fire.
This is an area between Pringle Bay and Betty's Bay that was affected by a fire in 2023.
A memory captured and painted by me to portray the restoration of the Fynbos, and the myriads of colours, which, by the way, change throughout the year.
