Skropularia is a fynbos plant I found on a morning walk in Pringle bay.

Dry and quietly beautiful...
I put it in a glass bottle. I loved its silhouette and its dreamy shadow friend.

I embroidered it by hand on linen, 30 × 30 cm.

Sometimes the most ordinary morning gives you the most extraordinary subject.

I'm honoured that this piece has been selected for a group exhibition at RK Contemporary. Opening details are on the invite .
