REST IN PEACE: 29-year-old cake business woman Anathi Maguga found dead in a bushes 💔🕊️

Anathi Maguga (29), a businesswoman from Gqeberha who specialised in baking cakes, has reportedly been found dead in a forest after she went missing on Thursday evening.

According to reports, Anathi was with her cousin when she received a phone call at around 6 PM. She reportedly left shortly afterwards and was not seen again.

Her vehicle was later found in NU5, Motherwell, without her inside.

What has raised further concern is the claim that someone continued accessing her Facebook and WhatsApp accounts in the days following her disappearance, repeatedly appearing online before going offline. However, it remains unclear who was using the accounts.

Community members and a local ward councillor reportedly joined the search for Anathi, which ended in the heartbreaking discovery of her body in a forest.

Anathi’s death has left people saddened, with many being encouraged to look through and learn more about the work she did and the business she built.

May her family, friends and loved ones find strength during this difficult time.

Social media users are reportedly expressing willingness to contribute money towards the bail application of a former Boxer Superstore employee accused of fatally shooting three female managers at the retailer’s eShowe branch in KwaZulu-Natal if the suspect is arrested.

Social media users say they share the same pain of being mistreated at the workplace, especially at supermarkets. Some say the employee might have been subjected to workplace bullying to resort to such measures.

The deadly shooting occurred on Saturday, 10 October 2026, during an internal disciplinary process at the store.

Police have confirmed that the suspect allegedly produced a fi***rm and shot three people, who were declared dead at the scene.

Reports indicate that the former employee was facing a disciplinary hearing linked to his employment. However, the circumstances surrounding the dispute and the motive for the killings remain subject to investigation.

The reported willingness of some members of the public to contribute towards his legal costs has sparked debate about the incident, workplace disputes and the public's reaction to violent crime.

The killings have devastated the victims’ families and colleagues. Boxer Superstores has expressed condolences to the families and said it is providing support to those affected while cooperating with the South African Police Service.

Police were still searching for the suspect, and no confirmed arrest or bail proceedings had been reported in the sources consulted.
