The day I watched you shoot this monologue, I concluded right there and then that you are one of a kind, this scene was a masterclass of note. Your interpretation of text, range and your dexterity was too phenomenal.

Getting to play alongside you remains an honour. When we would be playful with a performance as youngsters, you would eagerly and masterfully be part of the playfulness... And when it came time to shift gears and remind us why you are who you are, you gave us a performance so layered, books have to be written about.

From your scenes with the late Ntate Shai, the scenes at the Tarven and the mine, it was always a marvel to watch you work your magic. Some of my favourite moments was the banter you would have with Thapelo in scenes. As a person who has walked this journey, may you be his guardian angel from the other side.

He re bolela ka di heavyweight, manyora, mapara, di las, dikakapa, di legend, those who have paved the way... re bolela ka motho a tshwanang le wena. You are appreciated.
